“One of the fundamental goals of yoga is to reduce suffering- individually, collectively, and universally. Just as we can practice our yoga in a way that is of greater service to ourselves, we can consume and live in way that is of greater service to all. The intention of my constellation of small businesses is the same ~ to reduce suffering and be of benefit.” -Catie

Doug McCusker

Forest Bathing with Doug McCusker Forest bathing is a research-based framework for supporting healing and wellness through full-sensory immersion in forests and other natural environments. It is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, which roughly translates to “forest bathing.” Studies have demonstrated a wide array of health benefits, especially in the cardiovascular and immune systems, and for stabilizing and improving mood and cognition. Doug McCusker combines the healing practice of mindfulness meditation with Shinrin-Yoku to create a spiritually grounding connection with the forest community of beings. Doug’s mindful outdoor experiences include breathing relaxation, embodied movement, silent walking, sit-spot meditation, and sensory expansion. For solo or group experiences.
